THE SCHOOL OF SOUND
LONDON APRIL 23 -26TH 2003
The fifth School of Sound symposium will be held in London from the 23rd to 26th April 2003 at the Purcell Room, South Bank Centre, London SE1.
Since its inception in 1998, the School of Sound has raised the profile of sound in audio-visual media through its unique 4-day programme that integrates practice and theory, with art and entertainment.
This is the only event of its kind in Europe and one of only two in the world. It is addressing sound production, an aspect of screen media that is traditionally ignored but is now coming into its own. The School of Sound presents a high calibre programme stressing the creative thinking that informs all screen production. The School of Sound will not teach you equipment or software, but provides the perfect complement to your technical expertise, leading you along new paths through the creative use of sound in film, television, animation and new media.
