Re-Pro Membership Benefits:
A wide range of benefits is available to Guild members
Networking
As members, producers have an invaluable platform
from which they can share views and experiences and encourage a flow of
practical help and advice.
Telephone Hot Lines - Legal, Accounting and Financial Planning
The Guild has established three hotlines manned by experts who can answer
questions on legal, accounting and personal finance issues. Members are
entitled to up to one hour's free advice from the experts - who include
lawyer Nick Rann of Rann & Co, accountant Neil Dyer of Dyer & Co
and personal finance advisor Dave Parish of Carlton Financial Planning.
All three have particular experience of the problems faced by people working
in the music and media industries.
Open Forums
Informal meetings for members and their guests are held regularly, where industry luminaries are invited to field questions
from the membership. The meetings help to establish links with the rest
of the music industry so that the Guild's views and concerns are heard.
Special deals on equipment hire and discounts on new equipment,
multitrack tape, master format tape and diskettes are available to members
on production of their membership card.
Regular demonstrations of the latest technology are held at top
recording studios, giving members an opportunity to look around the facility
at the same time.
Advisory pamphlets providing expert advice on legal, financial
and contractual issues relating to the music industry have been commissioned
by the Guild and are available to all members.
Guild members are recognised as Associate Members of APRS and
are entitled to all APRS benefits including specially reduced rates on technical
and training papers.
The Guild's benefits programme is constantly under review and open to ideas
from members regarding benefits they would like to see included. The Guild
is currently working towards the introduction of discounts for group telephone
users and also plans to introduce a member's health and pension scheme.
