Re-Pro membership categories

Re-Pro has two principal categories of membership - Full and Associate

Full Members

Full Members are able to take advantage of the complete range of Re-Pro benefits, to attend all Re-Pro general meetings, and to involve themselves, should they wish, in the running and policy-making of the organisation by using their vote in Re-Pro ballots. Only Full members are qualified to stand for election as officers of Re-Pro.

In order to become a Full member, applicants must be proposed by one existing Full member and submit the appropriate application form (available from the Guild Secretary, Jackie Da Costa), an up-to-date CV for consideration by the Executive Committee and a cheque in the sum of the Full Member subscription* that prevails at the time made out to APRS Ltd. A VAT invoice will be issued by APRS Ltd. in due course.

Associate Members

Associate Members share in all of the Re-Pro benefits with Full Members but do NOT qualify to vote and may be invited to attend special general meetings (at the discretion of the Executive.) Associate members may be co-opted to serve on Re-Pro committees or to act as specialist consultants.

In order to become an Associate Member, applicants must submit the appropriate application form (available from the Guild Secretary, Jackie Da Costa), evidence of their position or prospective position in the audio recording industry and a cheque in the sum of the Associate Member subscription* that prevails at the time made out to APRS Ltd. A VAT invoice will be issued by APRS Ltd. in due course.

Two other special categories are available for members in particular situations:

Employee Associate Membership

An APRS Engineer Membership is available to engineers employed by APRS member studios. For APRS Engineer Membership, applicants must submit the appropriate application form (available from the Guild Secretary, Jackie Da Costa), evidence of their employment or prospective employment in an APRS member studio and a cheque in the sum of the APRS Engineer Membership subscription* that prevails at the time made out to APRS Ltd. A VAT invoice will be issued by APRS Ltd. in due course.

Overseas Associate Member

It is also possible to become an Overseas Associate Member of Re-Pro. This category is available to all producers, sound directors and engineers who are not resident in the UK. The benefits are the same as those of Associate Members - save that the Executive reserve the right to restrict overseas mailings where the cost has not been borne by a third party.

In order to become an Overseas Associate Member, applicants must submit the appropriate application form (available from the Guild Secretary, Jackie Da Costa), and a cheque in the sum of the Overseas Associate Member subscription* that prevails at the time made out to APRS Ltd. A VAT invoice will be issued by APRS Ltd. (if appropriate) in due course.

(*Members are able to spread the cost of the subscription by entering into a standing order agreement via their bank with the APRS accounts department.)

All categories of Re-Pro Membership include Associate Membership of the Association of Professional Recording Services
