Robin Millar

A producer from a musician's background dating back to his early childhood, Robin Millar has established himself as one of Britain's major exporters of international quality pop. Dubbed 'the acoustic Trevor Horn' by the British press for his conjuring tricks with real musicians as opposed to machines, he has nonetheless covered an enormous spectrum of music producing million-selling records featuring artists as diverse as Fine Young Cannibals, Randy Crawford, Big Country, Black, Everything But the Girl, and of course the two monster Sade albums 'Diamond Life' and 'Promise'.

He is currently sharing with Patricia Kaas her new-found success and credibility with her record-breaking 'Je Te Dis Vous' LP.

An accomplished classical and jazz guitarist with his heart right in the middle of commercial music, Robin says "I am lucky to have worked from punk bands to Herbie Hancock, to the Bhundu Boys and back to the Christians and Style Council, enjoying every minute of it. I never think of the platinum discs or the ASCAP Awards once I am in the studio. Like all people honestly passionate about their work, the pleasure is in doing, not the dreaming."

Robin has been the elected Chairman of Re-Pro since 1992.
