The APRS are pleased to present another event to which AES (UK), MPG (Music Producers Guild) and APRS members are invited which will take place on Wednesday 18th July at Air Lyndhurst Studios at 6.30 for 7.00pm until 10.30-pm. [THE VENUE FOR THIS EVENT IS NOW CONFIRMED]
A new twist on the Surround debate provides an opportunity for informal listening to the very best of surround mixes in all formats followed by a panel discussing their experience of preparing for 5.1 including a process that can taking stereo stems at the end of a conventional mix session.
The Panel, called STEMS ARE US? will include
The panel will be talking about their individual approaches the surround mixing. The panelists will play their favourite surround mix (in the studio through an M&K speaker system supplied by Stirling Syco), explain some of the production choices they made and respond to questions from the audience of producers, engineers and industry executives.
The evening will begin with a presentation by Andy Stirling from Stirling Syco of RADAR as a high quality mastering tool. A light buffet will be provided as well as other refreshments.
