APRS CELEBRATES 60 YEARS

To celebrate 60 years of representing the professional recording industry the APRS is holding a series of events throughout 2007.

Keep an eye on this page for news of past and future events...

01.

25-Jan-2007

upstairs at The Bath House,
96 Dean Street, London W1

"Alternative Burns Night"
Our opening event of the year was a fun evening of anecdotes and reminiscences, but there were also some positive thoughts about the future of the industry. The evening was well attended and highly appreciated by all who came along.

For those of you who couldn't attend in person please click here to read - and hear - all about it - including Keith Grant's wonderful violin story

02.

01-Mar-2007

upstairs at The Bath House,
96 Dean Street, London W1

"Meet the Musicians"
Following the success of our first event featuring the memories and anecdotes of some of our top engineers we assembled some of the country's greatest and most illustrious session musicians for the ultimate vrrbal jam-session. The line-up included Clem Cattini, Mitch Dalton, Mo Foster, Brian Gascoigne, Cliff Hall. Elliott Randall and Derek Wadsworth

The evening turned out to be jam-packed with wall-to-wall anecdotes!

See photos from the event here. We were also able to record the event. Members and invited guests can download the sound clips. Others can download this taster.

03.

21-Mar-2007

upstairs at The Bath House,
96 Dean Street, London W1

"An Evening with Rupert Neve"
In contrast to our two previous events our March gathering was devoted to the life, work and philosophies of one man - the legendary Rupert Neve.

Rupert took us on a journey from his earliest beginnings as a Public Address engineer in South West England, through to the design of his many justifiably renowned analogue recording consoles through to his latest audio design achievement the Portico series of high quality audio modules. Along the way there were some great memories and stories.
